As a Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), I provide expert safeguarding services to Alternative Provision providers, freelance tutors, and independent education settings. My role is to ensure that you meet legal safeguarding requirements, maintain compliance, and most importantly, protect the well-being of the children and young people in your care.

If you’re an Alternative Provision provider, freelance tutor, or independent education setup, having a Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) on retainer ensures that you remain compliant, responsive, and proactive in safeguarding children and young people.

A DSL is responsible for managing safeguarding and child protection concerns, ensuring compliance with government regulations, and liaising with social care, police, and local authorities.
If you work with vulnerable students, EHCP-funded learners, or provide Alternative Provision, you are required to have a safeguarding lead responsible for compliance and referrals.
