Therapeutic Alternative Provision (AP) for EHCP & SEMH Learners
Specialist 1:1 and Small Group Tutoring for Neurodivergent, School-Refusing, and Emotionally Distressed Learners
Some young people need more than a mainstream setting can offer. Whether due to anxiety, trauma, neurodivergence, or complex SEMH needs — our therapeutic AP supports learners to re-engage with education in a way that works for them.
We deliver trauma-informed, relationship-based tutoring across Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire. Our team supports EHCP-funded students, school refusers, and young people struggling with mental health, motivation, or attendance.
The goal: To help them feel safe, seen, and ready to learn.

📍 Where We Deliver
We offer structured, therapeutic tutoring in the following settings:
🏠 Learner’s home – 1:1 support in a calm, familiar environment
📚 Community venues – such as libraries, therapeutic hubs, and youth centres
🌳 Outdoor or sensory-friendly spaces – where appropriate
🏢 Dedicated learning hubs – including our main base at St John’s Centre, Mansfield and Langwith Hall
🚗 Transport provided by tutors if required – all tutors are fully insured
We currently deliver across:
North Nottinghamshire – including Mansfield, Langwith, Shirebrook
South Nottinghamshire – including Beeston, West Bridgford, Stapleford
Leicestershire – including Groby, Anstey, and Leicester city area
Sessions are delivered in 2.5–3 hour blocks, scheduled in morning or afternoon slots depending on the learner’s pacing needs. We prioritise calm, consistent environments and relational delivery as part of every placement.
